Rye Boys Varsity Tennis delivered a lot of love to Scarsdale B on Wednesday, taking the home match 7 – 0.

“In Rye’s last home match, they played the Scarsdale B team,” said Rye Boys Varsity Tennis Coach Sue Dickson. “Scarsdale was the only team in the league to serve Rye their first and only loss of the season. This time, playing on the home hard courts, Rye played true to form. They cleanly swept Scarsdale 7-0. Nicolas Echlov won 6-0,6-1, Matthew Templeman won 6-1, 6-0, Alex Gordon won 6-2, 6-1, and Lou Kim-Reuter won 6-1, 6-1. Confident and smooth, they took care of business. In the doubles, Henry Paul and Henry Bagley won 6-4, 6-3 against a strong team. Cian Keegan and Filip Glitterstam won 6-1, 6-3. Ollie Lincoln and Luke Gordon won 6-1, 6-3. Spirited, determined, and unified, Rye played a close to flawless match against Scarsdale. With one more match Thursday against White Plains, Rye has hopes for a solid showing in the Sectional Individual Tournament on Saturday.”

The Garnet record is now 12 – 1, still first in the league. The gemstones travel to White Plains for a 4:15pm match Thursday.
