Cottage Street Repair Shop Burglarized
A repair shop on Cottage Street by the Port Chester line was burglarized in the early hours Wednesday.
The burglary occurred around 5:00am at Complete Auto Care. Approximately $12,150 of cash, tools and Apple products were taken. Rye police characterized it as a “crime of convenience” since the shop is adjacent to the Interstate onramp. The police also report a general uptick in commercial burglaries in Rye and surrounding communities.
Noble Pies, the bakery downtown on Purdy street, was robbed in March.
