Girls Varsity Rugby with Two “W”s

Rye Girls Varsity Rugby traveled to Darien on Wednesday and returned with two “W”s.

Facing Darien, the Garnets won 17 – 14 with Molly Kennedy, Karis Repetto, Fifi Smith scoring for the gemstones.

In a second match facing Fairfield, Varsity grinded and polished their opponents winning 15 – 10 in OT with tries scored by Audrey Meier, Caroline Storz and Molly Kennedy. “The match ended in a draw,” said Rye Girls Varsity Rugby Coach Geri Jones. “Molly Kennedy went in to score for the Garnets on our first possession after regulation time!”

Girls Rugby travels back to Darien next Thursday, May 11th for a 4:30pm game.
