Girls Varsity Softball Seals Mahopac in Walk-Off Win
Rye Girls Varsity Softball sealed Mahopac at home on Friday 4 – 3.
“Great walk off win in the bottom of the 7th,” said Rye Girls Varsity Softball Coach Alex Tejera. “With Rye trailing 3 to 2 entering the bottom of the 7th, winning pitcher, Erin Ball lead off with a triple. Ava Rollano then tied the game with a squeeze bunt and reached first. After Ava Cross walked, Zoe Lien reached on a bunt single to load the bases. Penelope Gilmore then drove in Ava Rollano to win the game. Great win on Senior Day. Thank you to our senior captains, Zoe Lien, Dylan Deertz, and Ashley Kessner.”
