Rye PD Marine Unit Patrols LI Sound

The Rye PD marine unit is out this Memorial Day weekend patrolling the Long Island Sound.

“The City of Rye Police Marine Unit would like to honor all of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice serving our country,” said Sergeant and Special Operations Supervisor Lance Hinrichs of Rye PD. “If you are enjoying this Memorial Day Weekend on the water, please make sure that you boat sober, have the appropriate safety equipment and that you stay alert. We will be on the water all weekend making sure everyone enjoys a fun and safe holiday. If you need any assistance, you can reach us at (914) 967-1234 and ask for the Marine Unit or on VHF Channel 16.”
