Assault of 18-Year Old Female on BPR Near High School
The Rye PD is currently investigating an assault which took place in the early hours on Saturday, June 3 at approximately 1:40am on the Boston Post Road (BPR) near the Rye High School’s Nugent Field (the football field). Rye High School had its prom Friday evening (the police have not made any connection between the two events).
The victim, an 18 year old female, reported being followed by an unknown male and subsequently assaulted. The perpetrator is described as a white male approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds, wearing tan khaki type pants, a dark blue shirt with no markings and a dark blue baseball style cap, also with no markings on it. The victim did not report any physical injury nor was any weapon threatened or displayed.
The Westchester County Police and the Westchester County District Attorney are assisting the Rye Police Department with the investigation. Any person with information is urged to call the Rye Police Department at 914-967-1234.
