Playland Ride Malfunctions
Posted earlier this week, online video shows the Music Express ride at Rye Playland malfunctioning. In the videos you hear Playland visitors saying “it’s stuck” – “they gotta pull the plug … there’s no plug?” – “this is why you don’t get on these rides” – “that’s crazy that’s scary that’s a lawsuit yo! 10 minutes already” – “that’s a sign to go home”.
The ride was moving backwards without stopping for 10 minutes. According to News 12, no injuries were reported. Playland’s GM Jeff Davis told News 12 “Safety is our number one priority and as such, the Music Express ride is currently closed as we work closely with the manufacturer.”
