City Warning of Storm Event, Westchester Triathlon Cancelled
The City of Rye is warning residents of a storm event for this weekend and urging folks to prepare. Residents are being asked to check their gutters and storm drains and secure outdoor items. In its 37th year, the Westchester Triathlon has cancelled its Sunday race which was scheduled to start and end in Rye Town Park.
The National Weather Service has issues tropical storm warnings from the southeastern and mid-Atlantic coasts for Friday into Saturday night. That system is expected to continue up the east coast to our area. Rain and winds are expected both Saturday and Sunday.
