Girls Varsity Soccer Claws the Eagles

Rye Girls Varsity Soccer Clawed the Eastchester Eagles on Friday with a 4 – 0 win.

“Rye had a dominant performance against Eastchester on Friday afternoon,” said Rye Girls Varsity Soccer Coach Rich Savage about the away game.

Isabelle Harvey found the back of the net first for the Garnets with a perfect assist from Sage Ruttenberg. Rye second goal came from Isabelle Harvey and on perfectly weighted pass from freshman Charlotte Keenan.

The third goal another freshman Shira Rand hit a shot upper 90 after receiving a perfect pass from Lucy Wykoff. Paige Vanneck finished off the scoring for a 4 – 0 finish.

The team is now 1 – 1 for the season. The Garnets host Hendrick Hudson on Monday at 7pm (watch it).
