In Memory: Martin B. Steinthal, Jr., Age 89
M. Bradley Steinthal, a Rye resident, died September 6, 2023, at the age of 89. He was born October 5, 1933, in Manhattan to the late Winifred and Martin B. Steinthal Sr.
He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. On September 9, 1961 he married his wife Kathleen.
Martin worked as an Independent Broker for 35 years on the New York Stock Exchange, retiring in 2000. He was a longtime Eucharistic Minister and was a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 50 years. He was an avid golfer and longest member of Winged Foot Golf Club (68 years).
He is survived by his wife Kathleen of Rye, his three children; Brad Steinthal (Susan) of Harrison, NY, Stephen Steinthal (Anne) of White Plains, NY and Catherine Gluck (Michael) of Rye, NY. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Honor Steinthal, Grace Steinthal, Luke Steinthal, Lauren Steinthal, Timmy Gluck and Peter Gluck.
Martin was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. A lifelong NY Giant fan and a die-hard NY Mets fan. He loved life and spending time with family and friends. His smile and laugh will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the MGA Caddie Scholarship Fund (MGACSF), that provides need-based scholarships to students who work in service to golf.
