The Rye Garden Club will open its occasional flower show to the public on Wednesday, September 13th and Thursday, September 14th. The entries, all submitted by the ninety or so local Rye Garden Club members, are divided by horticultural specimens and displays, flower arranging, education and photography divisions. Many of the horticultural entries will focus on native plants.

The last show was in 2015 when the Rye Garden Club (RGA) celebrated its centennial. The club, affiliated with The Garden Club of America, had a show planned for 2020 that was delayed due to COVID.

The RGA maintains plantings around the City including the flower pots along Purchase Street and Purdy Avenue, the garden behind the Square House off the Village Green and the traffic island across from the Knapp House at the intersection of Milton Avenue and Rye Beach Avenue. To celebrate its centennial in 2015 the RGA donated the pollinator garden at Edith Read Sanctuary.
