The 70th annual Halloween window painting on October 22nd, co-sponsored by The Children’s Philanthropy of Rye and Rye Recreation, raised more money for families in need than previous years. The bake sale alone raised nearly $5,000, thanks in part to the popularity of the expertly-carved “Swiftie” pumpkin raffle.
The Children’s Philanthropy of Rye is a nonprofit organization committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children in our community. The need for support for families in the Rye City School district has grown year after year. Today, there are nearly 70 families living at or below the poverty level in City of Rye, up from 60 families in 2022 and 51 families in 2021 according to the group.
The funds raised by the organization directly support these families by providing grocery gift cards during school breaks when children do not have access to hot meals at school, as well as holiday gifts in the month of December. Support these efforts by making a donation to The Children’s Philanthropy of Rye.
