Girls Varsity Lacrosse Tames the Broncos

Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse tamed the Broncos of Bronxville on Thursday, saddling the away game win 13 – 9.

“Congrats to Lilly Whaling who accomplished the 200 career goal milestone in yesterday’s win vs Bronxville,” said Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach Michelle Mason. “Lilly netted 5 against the Broncos, bringing her to 201 thus far for her career for the Garnets.”

The Garnets played a complete game and shined defensively against the Broncos with the core 4 dialed in. Chader made 4 saves with 5 goals against in the first half, and Ebeling closed out with 4 goals against and 6 saves to secure the victory for Rye. Mary Sack had a massive game for the Garnets with 4 goals and 3 draw controls, plus playing outstanding defense on Bronxville’s top threats. Doyle, White, Goodman, MC Ebeling, and B Whaling all contributed on the offense.

The team is now 8 – 2. Watch the replay. The Gemstones travel to face Ursuline for a game on Saturday at 11:00am (watch it).
