Rye Pres & Clay Arts Center Fundraiser Sunday to Fight Hunger
Rye Presbyterian Church and the Clay Arts Center of Port Chester will hold its biennial Empty Bowls fundraiser this Sunday, April 21st to raise awareness about food insecurity and hunger in Westchester. All proceeds will go to the Don Bosco Community Center in Port Chester. Empty Bowls is a larger, international grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger. Unique handmade ceramic bowls made by over 50 Clay Art Center artists and students will be for sale as part of the fundraiser.
“We are proud to participate in Empty Bowls as our way of giving back to the Port Chester community by raising money to support food organizations,” said Clay Art Center Executive Director Emily Peck. “Please join us by purchasing a handcrafted bowl and help families in need in Port Chester.”

For more than 20 years, Clay Art Center has mobilized hundreds of community members and artists to create thousands of handmade ceramic bowls in partnership with the Rye Presbyterian Church. The ongoing effort as raised over $75,000 in the fight to end hunger in Westchester County.
