The Down to Earth Rye Farmers Market has returned to the center of Rye for its 21st season. Shop with regional small scale farmers and food makers on Sundays from 8:30am to 1:00pm in the parking lot off Theodore Fremd Avenue, behind the Purchase Street stores.

SOVA Farm will return this year with their certified organic eggs, meats and dairy products. They’ve amassed a loyal following of Rye Farmers Market shoppers over the years and their pasture-raised eggs were recently featured on CNN.

Fino Farms, Newgate Farms, and certified organic Norwich Meadows Farm will provide locally grown fruits and vegetables. New vendor Flowering Sun will bring their organically grown mushrooms, and Yellow Bell Farm will have pasture-raised chicken and eggs. P&S Seafood will return with locally sourced fish.

Favorite bakers will be back with artisan breads, bagels, pies, cookies, granola, gluten-free options and more, and food makers will bring their pickles, sauces and pantry staples. As part of Down to Earth’s environmental focus they have partnered with Green Tree Textiles to collect unwanted clothes and household textiles every Sunday (look for the big green bin).
