A 51 year old man was arrested for a lewd act in Rye Town Park on Sunday, June 2nd.
A woman entered the restroom at 8:00pm on Sunday, June 2nd when she encountered a man inside with his pants down exposing himself and committing a lewd act. After speaking with witnesses, the offender was identified by Rye PD as Kim Governali, age 51, of Nanuet, New York.
Governali was placed under arrest for committing a lewd act in the women’s restroom and transported to Rye Police headquarters for processing. He was charged with Public Lewdness and released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Rye City Court on June 18, 2024.
Rye PD reminds you that booking charges are merely accusations and the defendant(s) are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
