An arrest has been made related to a Milton home burglary.

Rye PD arrested 45 year old Mark Bucaj of White Plains, following a four month long investigation by detectives that began on March 5th, 2024. On that day in March, Rye PD responded to a single family residence on the north end of Milton Road in the early morning hours, on a report of a possible burglary.

The homeowner had returned from a business trip to find his mudroom door wide open and signs that someone had been in his master bedroom. It is alleged that Bucaj entered the residence, and stole a safe containing jewelry and personal documents.

Bucaj was arrested and charged on Thursday July 18, 2024 with Burglary 2nd a class C Felony. He has known priors in Harrison, Monroe, and Greenburgh for Burglary, Criminal Possession of a weapon, Criminal Mischief, and Criminal Impersonation. On Bucaj’s LinkedIn profile, he is described as “Albanian Hero, Leader” and “Bounty Hunter”
