Arrest in Milton Road Burglary
An arrest has been made related to a Milton home burglary.
Rye PD arrested 45 year old Mark Bucaj of White Plains, following a four month long investigation by detectives that began on March 5th, 2024. On that day in March, Rye PD responded to a single family residence on the north end of Milton Road in the early morning hours, on a report of a possible burglary.
The homeowner had returned from a business trip to find his mudroom door wide open and signs that someone had been in his master bedroom. It is alleged that Bucaj entered the residence, and stole a safe containing jewelry and personal documents.
Bucaj was arrested and charged on Thursday July 18, 2024 with Burglary 2nd a class C Felony. He has known priors in Harrison, Monroe, and Greenburgh for Burglary, Criminal Possession of a weapon, Criminal Mischief, and Criminal Impersonation. On Bucaj’s LinkedIn profile, he is described as “Albanian Hero, Leader” and “Bounty Hunter”
After his arraignment, Bucaj was transported to the Westchester County Correctional Facility on $50,000 cash bail. Rye PD reminds you that booking charges are merely accusations and the defendant(s) are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
