Varsity Volleyball Sweeps Nyack to Continue Impressive Start
The Rye Volleyball Team continues to roll game in and game out, as the Garnets swept Nyack in three sets to improve to 3-0. Rye went ahead early and often and never let the Redhawks get back into the game.
Setter Ashley Dehmer led the offense with 17 assists in another strong performance. Erin Ball and Valeria Medina tied for the team lead with six kills. Medina registered five digs, tying her with Melisa Pirinccioglu for the most on Rye. The Garnets forced Nyack into many errors in the victory.
The team will look to keep its winning ways in their next matchup, a home tilt against Ardsley High School. The game is scheduled for 4:30pm on Thursday, September 12, as Rye (3-0) will look to push its season-opening win streak to four. Watch it here.
