17 Years Later, Henderson, Playing Through…: Rye City Council Agenda for Wednesday, October 9, 2024

The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 is out. The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive).

The Council will convene at 5:30pm and it is expected they will adjourn into Executive Session to discuss the United Hospital update and Playland Litigation.

Formal office hours of the Mayor and other officials have been suspended.

  • Open Mic. Members of the public may be heard on matters for Council consideration that do not appear on the agenda.
  • Greg’s Grist. Report of the City Manager.
  • Pink Out. Consideration of a request from SOUL RYEDERS for the use of City streets on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am for a half marathon/5k fundraising.
  • 17 Years Later. Award bid for Theodore Fremd wall project (Contract # 2024-03)
  • Skippers Needed. Approve appointments to the Boat Basin Commission.
  • Foot by foot. Presentation and resolution to establish the 2025 budgeted Fees and Charges for the Boat Basin.
  • Henderson, Playing Through… Presentation and resolution to establish the 2025 budgeted Fees and Charges for the Rye Golf Club.
  • Hello? Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with Connecticut Communications and Ring Central to provide for service and installation of a new City office telephone system.
  • Blue Tech. Resolution amending the FY 2024 budget by increasing the police patrol equipment expense line by $120,000 and the law enforcement technology grant revenue line by $120,000, due to the City receiving a $120,000 grant award from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice’s Law Enforcement Technology (LETECH) program.
  • Veterans Day. CONSENT AGENDA a) Consideration of a request by the American Legion Post 128 to conduct its usual Veterans’ Day observance on the Village Green on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. In case of rain, the American Legion Post 128 requests the use of City Hall on that date and time.

The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 6:30pm.
