The Rye Historical Society raised over $30,000 to preserve its Knapp House property at its Annual Fall Food and Whiskey Bash on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The funds will pay for the restoration and revitalization of Knapp, the oldest house in Westchester County.

Over 100 guests enjoyed a whiskey tasting station, hand-crafted specialty cocktails made with the nonprofit’s exclusive, private label Square House Bourbon and a buffet dinner from Palmers Events and Catering. An illuminated tent, festive fall décor, firepits and acoustic tunes from local duo Bob & Norm made for a casual, fun-filled evening. The silent auction offered items such as a one week stay in Amelia Island, four tickets to the sold out ComicCon, a sporting clays experience at Orvis Sandanona and a station tour and pizza party with the Rye Police.

The Historical Society sent special thanks to event co-chairs Allison Young and Colleen Boyden, and its Board of Trustees, auxiliary board, volunteers, and staff for assembling the event.
