44 Year Old Woman Arrested for DWI on Forest Avenue
Rye PD arrested a 44 year old woman late Thursday evening on a DWI charge after police say she was operating a 2024 Volvo V60 on Forest Avenue in an unsafe manner reportedly traveling on the wrong side of the road.
At approximately 11:37pm Thursday, Rye Police Officers responded to Beck Avenue in the area of Forest Avenue for a report of an erratic driver. Officers subsequently arrested Alison Schrag, age 44 of New York, New York, for driving while intoxicated. Officers attempted to administer Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which Schrag refused. Based on the officer’s observations, Schrag was arrested and transported to Rye Police headquarters where she refused to submit to chemical a test.
Schrag was processed and then released on an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Rye Court on December 3, 2024 at 9:00 am to answer to a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Rye PD reminds you that booking charges are merely accusations and the defendant(s) are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
