Money, Money, Money: Rye City Council Agenda for Wednesday, December 4, 2024
The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 is out. The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive).
Formal office hours of the Mayor and other officials have been suspended.
Let’s check the batting order and highlights from the 12 agenda items.
- Will Robin Sing? Proclamation for George Latimer.
- Open Mic. Members of the public may be heard on matters for Council consideration that do not appear on the agenda.
- Greg’s Grist. Report of the City Manager.
- Can You Hear Me Now? Consideration of Crown Castle’s request for modification to existing wireless facilities in the City’s right-of-way and referral to the Board of Architectural Review.
- Money. Discussion of the proposed City of Rye 2025 Budget including possible reductions (see agenda doc, page 17 for details):
- Police – $30,000 related to training and the officer wellness program.
- DPW – $20,000 related to streets.
- DPW – $40,000 related to tree planting, maintenance and irrigation.
- Fire – $25,000 related to several areas including fire prevention education (schools), consultants and FD education and training.
- Money. Mayor and Council amendments to the proposed 2025 City of Rye Budget.
- Money. Open public hearing on the 2025 Budget.
