The Rye PD is running its annual Toys for Toys toy collection through this Friday, December 20, 2024. Residents can drop new, unwrapped toys into the toy collection boxes at PD headquarters. Toys are provided to children in need during the holidays.

PD headquarters, at 21 McCullough Place, is open 24/7. McCullough Place is between the Rye train station lot and Purdy Avenue in downtown Rye. Toys should be unwrapped. Toys for Tots discourages gifts with realistic looking weapons, gifts with food and stuffed animals.

Rye PD arranges for pickup of all toys by Toys for Tots, run by the The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. The mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is to assist the U. S. Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.
