About the Artist

JoAnn Cancro is a fine arts and cultural photographer with over 29 years of traveling, gaining insights, expanding her photographic vision. She began with photography studies at the International Center for Photography, NYC, and continued privately with Harold Feinstein, Lorne Resnick, and Joyce Tenneson & Eddie Soloway.
She has been published in The New York Times, featured in National Geographic Traveler portraits contest, Santa Fe Photo Workshop worldwide (top 100) Water Contest, Westchester Magazine, Greenwich Magazine and The Rye Record. Her work has been showcased in numerous gallery shows: Gallery 46, Lake Placid, NY; Gallery 52, Mamaroneck, NY; Kotinsky Gallery; Bilski Fine Art; Cornerstone Gallery; solo shows at Rye Art Center; and at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. She has ribboned in numerous juried shows and is internationally collected.
Cancro has lived in Rye for more than 35 years with homes in Indian Village, The Preserve and now The Ives.
