Rye hockey defeated perennial powerhouse Suffern on Wednesday night behind two third-period goals 13 seconds apart. They avenge their 6-2 loss from December 6 and earn a statement win to start 2025.

Will Niejadlik scored the tying goal with 5:47 to play in the third period off an assist from Jamie Morris. Tyler McDermott struck just 13 seconds later, set up by Dean Kim, to give Rye an unlikely lead. Fernando Mosquera made it stand up in goal to earn the win.

Full details to come.
