Full Closure for Rye Schools on Thursday, February 6, 2025

After an initial 2 hour delay being announced Wednesday evening for Thursday, Rye schools will now be closed for the entire day on Thursday.

“The most current forecast is calling for continued snow and freezing rain until early afternoon, therefore the Rye City Schools and offices will now be closed for today. I had hoped that a 2-hour delay would be sufficient, but the updated forecast with freezing rain presents too much risk for unsafe driving conditions. All after school activities and athletics are also canceled.”
