A 2024 graduate from Rye Country Day School is part of Elon Musk’s DOGE Team. DOGE is President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency – an unofficial entity run by billionaire Musk that is wreaking havoc on numerous federal agencies.

A 2024 graduate of Rye Country Day School who entered Northeastern University last fall as a freshman, Edward Coristine is one of six young engineers identified in reporting by Wired magazine as assisting Musk. Coristine was apparently an intern at Neuralink, one of Musk’s companies, last summer. He apparently reports to Amanda Scales, the new chief of staff for the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Coristine reportedly has security clearances that gain access to the General Services Administration’s IT systems and has been on calls with existing GSA employees where they were asked to justify their jobs.

Coristine is a mechanical engineering and physics major, according to the independent student newspaper at Northeastern, The Huntington News. The paper cites sources who said Coristine idolizes Musk and that he decided on what seemed like a whim not to return for the spring semester.

On his now deleted LinkedIn profile, Coristine used the name “bigballs” and lists work experience including as a camp counselor in New Canaan, as an assistant bike mechanic in Larchmont and at his father’s company, comically named LesserEvil Healthy Brands.

  1. Is this an editorial or a news story? Seems to be an editorial trying to pass as a news story. Real news stories don’t use terms like “wreaking havoc” — editorials do.
