35 Year Old Arrested for Midland Avenue Assault by Rye PD

A 35-year-old man was arrested for assault by Rye PD on Friday.

Officers responded to a 911 report of a fight in progress on Midland Avenue in the area of Palisade Road. Rye Police officers arrested Patrick Antonio Colon-Craig, 35 of New Rochelle, for Assault 3rd (A Misd) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (A Misd). Colon is registered as a Level 2 sex offender in New York State.

Further investigation revealed that Colon-Craig got into a physical altercation with a resident of Midland Avenue inside the resident’s home. It was determined that both parties knew each other and this was not a random incident. The victim was transported to Greenwich Hospital with minor injuries.

Colon-Craig was transported to the Rye Police Headquarters for processing and was held for arraignment. Colon-Craig was released on his own recognizance and issued a full stay away order protecting the victim. Colon-Craig is due back in Rye City Court on March 18, 2025 at 9:00am to answer the charges. Booking charges are merely accusations and the defendant(s) are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
