In Memory Margaret Mary Donohoe, Age 80

Margaret Mary Donohoe, 80, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on December 28, 2024 after a long illness. She was born in Rye, New York in 1944 to Alice Dugan Donohoe and William Ward Donohoe, Sr. She spent her elementary school and high school years on Long Island. For college she attended The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. After graduation she joined the Federal Register of the National Archives as an editor. She was an editor for the Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents and the Presidential Papers. She served during the administrations of Presidents Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, and Bush. After focusing on presidential documents she worked for the Regulatory Information Service Center of the GSA until she retired from civil service in 1994. Next she embarked on a new career combining the two things she loved, history and travel, and as a travel agent. In 2004 she moved to Tucson and joined Bon Voyage Travel until her retirement in 2023.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her four brothers, Tom, David, Ward, and Joseph, and her nephew Michael.

She is survived by her sister Alice Langen and her brother-in-law, Bill, of Tucson, and her brother, Fran, and sister-in-law, Barbara, of Stratham, NH. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Connie Donohoe of Potomac, MD, and Cathryn Donohoe of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by 3 nieces, 4 nephews, and eleven great nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Potomac, MD, at 10 a.m., on March 28th, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
