Rye Girls Varsity Basketball MVPs: Phoebe Greto and Paige Tepedino

Rye Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach Margo Hackett named her two co-MVPs for the 2024-25 season: juniors Phoebe Greto and Paige Tepedino.
“Phoebe Greto and Paige Tepedino were key to our success this season and are our MVPs for this winter,” Hackett told MyRye.com.
Greto averaged a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds across 25 games, including two standout efforts in rivalry games against Pelham and Harrison. She found great success in the paint despite regularly being double- or even triple-teamed. Her excellent work earned her MVP recognition beyond just the Garnets – the junior was named the most valuable player in all of Section 1 Class AA. Thus, she naturally earned All-Section Team honors too.
Tepedino averaged 13 points, 3 rebounds, and an impressive 4 steals per game in 2024-25. Her consistently stellar play peaked at the midseason Mahopac Tournament, where she was named tournament MVP, and in the Class AA semi-finals against Tappan Zee, where she dropped 25 points in a close victory. She earned all-section honors and was named to the league All-Tournament Team.
“Both Phoebe and Paige will be back next year for another successful season!” Hackett told MyRye.com, indicating these star athletes have only scratched the surface and are primed for even more points, rebounds, steals, assists, and hardware as seniors.
