The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 is out. The Council will convene at 5:45pm and adjourn into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters. The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive).

Formal office hours of the Mayor and other officials have been suspended.

  • Banning Batteries? Consideration to set a public hearing for the March 26, 2025 meeting to adopt a local law to amend Chapter 98-125 “Battery Energy Storage System” to prohibit the use of Battery Energy Storage Systems of a certain capacity.
  • Special Rec. Authorization for the City Manager to execute an agreement with Southeast Consortium for Special Services, Inc. to provide for 2025 special recreational programming.
  • Can You Hear Me Now? Consideration of a request from Airosmith to extend prior permit to replace existing equipment on the rooftop of 66 Milton.
  •  The Rent Electricity Is Too Damn High. Resolution authorizing contribution to the hiring of Joel R. Dichter of Dichter Law LLC as Special Council to represent participating Westchester municipalities in Con Edison’s electric and gas rate case before the Public Service Commission.
  • Float Me $14K. Authorization to approve a change order for $14,622.50 for the new Police Department boat with funds from the Vehicle Replacement Account.
  • Thank You for Your Service. CONSENT AGENDA a) Consideration of a request by the American Legion Post 128 and the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 128 to approve a parade to commemorate Memorial Day to be held on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; b) Consideration of a request by the American Legion Post 128 and the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 128 to hold a Memorial Day Ceremony on the Village Green on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.; c) Consideration of a request by the American Legion Post 128 and the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 128 to have a food truck on Haviland Lane at the Memorial Day event to be held on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 6:30pm.
