The Rye Boys Tennis Team defeated John Jay-Cross River 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon for their third win of the season. The Garnets went onto the road and had no problem handling the Wolves in the convincing victory.

“Today’s match showed Rye’s tenacity and grit,” Head Coach Sue Dickson told MyRye.com after the win. “Despite a loss at one singles in an exciting third set super tiebreaker, the whole squad came out with wins.”

Brothers Alex and Luke Gordon both won at second and third singles respectively. All four doubles duos came out on top as well.

“The guys all played well and locked in for solid play all around,” Dickson continued. “I’m proud of them and the way they handle themselves.”

Rye takes a 3-1 record into their next matchup on Thursday, April 24, at Clarkstown South. They will look to make it two in a row coming out of their spring break vacation.
