Rye Girls Varsity Skiing MVP: Emma Stark

Rye Varsity Skiing Co-Head Coach David Gray has named his MVP for the 2025 season on the girls side: freshman Emma Stark.

“Emma was a welcome addition to the team this year,” Gray said of his star freshman. “Both Coach Steinmann and I look forward to a great career for her on the team.”

In her first year racing for the Garnets, Stark finished several races within the top ten and did enough to qualify for the section one meet. She capped off the year with a team-best 20th place finish in state qualifiers, coming up just shy of a chance to race at states. Her efforts earned her All-League honors.

Stark joins Kiran Gounden-Kobes as the skiing team’s two MVPs for the 2025 winter season.
