Rye Schools “Need Your Help” to Ease Student Anxiety
Rye Schools are reporting high anxiety levels about Coronavirus among students and are asking parents for help to "quell student fears". The schools, in an email, are promising to proactively communicate any concerns – "Should there ever be a situation for concern – for any reason – we will communicate out immediately to parents."
See the note below:
"Subject: Student Anxiety at RMS/RHS
Dear RMS and RHS Parents and Guardians –
We are receiving reports of anxiety about the COVID-19 coronavirus among our Middle and High School students, which is, in turn, causing anxiety among parents.
There are no students, faculty, or staff with COVID-19 symptoms at Rye Middle or High School. Should there ever be a situation for concern – for any reason – we will communicate out immediately to parents. Guidance counselors and administrators are working to quell student fears, but we need your help.
