Boat or View: Blessing of the Fleet on July 4th, Mamaroneck Harbor

Join Flotilla 75 of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary on the 4th of July at 12:00pm in Mamaroneck Harbor as they carry on the centuries-old tradition of the blessing of the fleet. Flotilla 75 covers Rye City.

Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated watercraft. Register with the Mamaroneck Harbor Master, Joseph Russo, at 914-777-7744 and you will be provided with a boat ID number.

First prize: SeaTow Membership ($169 value).
Second Prize: Mamaroneck Boats and Motors $150 certificate for fuel.
Third Prize: Brewer True Value Hardware $50 gift certificate.

Meet the USCG Auxiliary patrol boat in the Mamaroneck outer harbor between green buoy #5 and Hen Island at noon. We will then parade into the west basin, pass the reviewing stand, go around the inner horseshoe to exit. Listen for updates on VHF channel 68. Winners will be announced on channel 68 at 2:00 p.m.

Spectators should gather at the west basin of the harbor to watch the boats pass in review as they receive their blessing.
