For Monday, Westchester reported the following City of Rye numbers:

200 total COVID-19 cases since inception;
1 active COVID-19 cases (this assumes the remaining 199 have run the average two week contagion cycle and are no longer active);
0 new COVID-19 cases

Rye guy and Westchester County boss George Latimer delivered his COVID-19 update from the Michaelian Office Building in White Plains. He was joined by members of the newly formed task-force charged with advancing the goals of Westchester businesses as re-opening continues.

The business re-opening task force “Open Westchester” will be co-chaired by restaurateur Louie Lanza and Rye resident and Westchester County Legislator Catherine Parker. Parker ended  her congressional bid for NY-17 only Friday. Before politics, Parker had a long run as the small business owner of Parker’s travel store on Purchase Street from 1996 until its closing in 2018. Rabbi Daniel Gropper of Rye’s Community Synagogue is one of the members of the task force.

Just like everyone else, Latimer is looking at the NY State COVID-19 tracker for county and state level statistics on the pandemic and at the NY State regional  monitoring dashboard to see our progress towards continued reopening.
