Fire at June & Ho on Black Friday
There was a different kind of Black Friday at the gourmet deli June & Ho on Purchase Street. Rye FD battled a fire that broke out in the morning:
"Fire heavily damaged the inside of a downtown gourmet deli and market Friday morning.
The fire at June & Ho was contained to inside the walls of the two-story establishment at 70 Purchase Street. But firefighters "had to do a lot of chopping" to reach the blaze, Rye fire Chief Peter Cotter said…
Everyone inside the building was able to get out safely after the fire broke out just before 11 a.m….
One firefighter was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation."
