Battling Hate with Love, pRYEde Group Launches Yard Sign Sale in Wake of Hateful Vandalism
Battling hate with love, the local Rye pRYEde group has launched a new campaign to sell its Pride yard flags. The move comes on the heels of the burning of an LGBTQ+ lawn flag in Rye this weekend.
“In response to overwhelming demand from the community we are reopening sales!,” the group said online.”
“Please join the pRYEde Community Group and Rye High School’s GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) in CONTINUING to celebrate and support our LGBTQ+ Community.
We had planned to have the Pride Flags on display for the month of June (Pride Month). In response to a local flag being burned we are putting our flags back out on display in a show of solidarity throughout our community.”
pRYEde & GSA rainbow garden flags are $30 and can be ordered online. The group expects to deliver new flags in September.
