Residents will remember when Purchase Street was so overwhelmed with bank branches the city council finally banned new banks from opening.
Now on the other side of that bank frenzy, the old TD Bank building at 38 Purchase Street has opened as the new showroom for the St. Regis Residences, Rye development on Old Post Road.
It is open daily, seven days a week, with evening hours Thursday through Saturday. Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins are also welcome.

“Purchase Street is a fabulous location with excellent exposure for The St. Regis Residences, Rye, and we are excited to bring to life some exciting partnerships with a number of local restaurants and stores. We are also excited to host many traditional champagne saberings, a ritual that is performed nightly at St. Regis properties around the world, including the original St. Regis Hotel on 55th and 5th in New York City,” said Alan Weissman, President of Alfred Weissman Real Estate, the developer of The St. Regis Residences, Rye.
The St. Regis Residences, Rye residences are priced from $1,065,000, and at least one resident per home must be 55 years of age or better. Occupancy of the first residences is expected in late 2020.
