Behavioral Finance: Why Smart People Make Bad Investment Decisions

Join us for this financial literacy series, created to educate women of every age about financial matters that affect their lives. These conversations are fun and interactive in a group setting where women feel comfortable and engage in an open conversation with women who bring their expterise in from the financial industry. Julia Strayer, CRPC®, CIMA®, CPWA® is a Senior Vice President, Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch. Prior to her move to Merrill Lynch in 2000, Julia was Vice President, Private Banker for BankBoston’s Private Bank for 7 years, responsible for asset management and trust services. Previously, Julia worked in marketing for 9 years with Merrill Lynch. Julia has a BA from Ohio State University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. Julia has appeared on the CNBC show “Power Lunch,” CBS “This Morning,” WGCH’s “Women in Business,” in addition to featured articles in USA Today. Julia has hosted women roundtable discussions throughout her career. She is also an adjunct professor at New York University.Liz Maccarone, CRPC® is a Financial Analyst. She joined Merrill Lynch in 2012 and is a graduate of Fairfield University. She coordinates and monitors investment strategies and planning services for clients.
