Schools: Enjoy Long Weekend, Check the 14-Day Quarantine List

In a note to school families Thursday, Director of Health Services Tracey Barnett, FNP warned families that a 14-day quarantine may be required for any families traveling over the long weekend (schools are closed Monday for Yom Kipper).

Depending where you are traveling the quarantine in both required by NY State and also must be declared on the Rye City School District Daily Health Assessment Form.

The note is shared below:

“Dear RCSD Families,

A reminder to our families who may be traveling over the long weekend:  according to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 205, a 14-day quarantine may be required upon your return to New York. The list of restricted states was updated on September 22; please check the COVID-19 NYS Travel Advisory for the most up-to-date list.

If you are traveling outside the United States, please check with the individual country’s Office of Foreign Affairs or Ministry of Health or the US Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, Country Information page for details about entry requirements and restrictions for returning travelers, such as mandatory testing or quarantine.
