Rye Schools Peeps: Rye High Newbies
We've got new peeps (faculty, administrators and staff) at Rye Schools across the district.

Claire Erickson
English
Ms. Erickson comes to Rye from Mt. Vernon High School where she taught 9th grade English Literature and Composition for the past year. Previously, she taught 10th and 12th grade AP English at Kennedy High School in Bloomington, MN, and was an English Language Arts (ELA) teaching fellow at St. Paul Central High School in St. Paul, MN. She has a B.A. in English, Communication Arts & Leadership Studies and an M.E. in Secondary English Education and Public Policy, both from the University of Minnesota.
Frieda Kraft
Special Education
Ms. Kraft comes to Rye High School from Mott Hall Bronx High School where she was both Special Education Liaison and a special education teacher. Previously, she worked as Special Education Department Coordinator and as a special education teacher at the Urban Assembly School of Design and Construction M300 in Manhattan. Ms. Kraft has a B.A. in Art History and Economics from Smith College, an M.A. in Art History from the University of Chicago, and an M.S. in Special Education from Hunter College, CUNY.
Denise McCauley
Special Education
Ms. McCauley comes to Rye from Mt. Vernon High School where she worked as a resource room, self-contained and integrated co-teaching English teacher for the past five years. Previously, she worked as a special education teacher at Dows Lane Elementary School in Irvington, Briarcliff Middle School, John Jay Middle School in Cross River, and Ardsley Middle School. Ms. McCauley has a B.A. in Sociology from Ithaca College and an M.S. in Elementary Education with a Minor in Elementary Education and Special Education from Mercy College.
