Operation Pass the Gravy, a local effort started by residents Lynn Halpern and Colleen Margiloff, is back again, this time working with the Community Synagogue of Rye to deliver meals to 241 seniors and homeless on Christmas eve. “The need for food this year is tremendous!,” said Halpern.

Residents can sign-up at Operation Pass the Gravy to make lasagnas or roasted vegetables, to supply rolls, cookies or flavored seltzer or simply donate via Venmo (@colleen-margiloff) to cover other meal costs. The group is also looking for drop off locations and for drivers on Christmas eve day from 4pm – 5pm.
