Girl Varsity Swimming Dives Into Sectional Prelims

Rye Girl Varsity Swimming dove into Sectional Prelims on Wednesday.

“Freshman Sophia Lord made finals in the 100 breast, she is seeded 7th,” said Rye Girl Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach Kelly Johanson. “She dropped 3 seconds from her season best.”

Other highlights from the meet:

  • Megan Tiedemann placed 28th in the 100 back
  • Kayla Lombardo placed 25th in the 500 free and 31st in the 100 breast
  • The 200 free relay (Goldberg, Tiedemann, Hofmann, Lien) placed 15th and made it to finals
  • The 400 free relay (Lien, Tavitian, Lombardo, Lord) placed 9th and made it to finals
