With Kaplan Memorial Service, Board of Ed Meeting Rescheduled
Tuesday evening’s Board of Education meeting (November 23rd) has been rescheduled to next Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in acknowledgement of the memorial service for Morgan Kaplan beginning at 5:00 p.m. today (November 23rd) at Rye Presbyterian Church.
The Rye City School District Board of Education will meet Tuesday, November 30, 2021 beginning at 7:30 P.M. in the Rye Middle School Multipurpose Room, 3 Parsons Street, Rye, New York 10580.
On the agenda are fiscal, special education, personnel and business items that ordinarily come before the Board.
The Board of Education will continue to meet in-person despite the reinstatement of the Executive Order allowing for virtual meetings. Members of the public are welcome to attend in-person or view via live streaming. Opportunity for public comment will be only available for those in attendance at the meeting during the designated time.
All visitors to the schools must wear a mask and maintain social distance upon arriving at Board of Education meetings. The meetings will be live streamed via YouTube for viewing purposes only. The link for the streaming will be provided within the agenda on Board Docs and on the Rye City School District Website District Calendar.

Prior to the meeting, beginning at approximately 6:30 p.m., it is anticipated that the Board will meet in Executive Session for the review of the employment history of current and prospective employees, negotiations pursuant to the Taylor Law, review of current litigation and litigation strategy.
