Rye Boys Varsity Football MVP: the Senior Captains

Rye Boys Varsity Football MVPs are the senior captains: Caden Whaling, Owen Kovacs, Teddy Berkery, Ryan Surhoff, Alex Tepedino and Jack Garnett.
“Each of these young men exemplify the ideals of the Rye Garnet Football Program,” said Rye Boys Varsity Football Coach Dino Garr. “They are selfless, dedicated, hard-working and courageous. They provided outstanding leadership both on and off the field. Other players gravitated and followed their example throughout the season. Their leadership, perseverance and character were a driving force that allowed the Garnets to advance to the Semi-finals in the New York State Playoff Championship and end the season with an 11-2 record. They will be sorely missed but have left a legacy for future Garnets to emulate.”
