Library Offers STEAM Activities for Grades 3-5, Funded by ARPA
Supported with funds from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the Rye Free Reading Room, along with the Westchester Children’s Museum and Harrison Public Library is offering weekly STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) programs for grades 3-5. Part of ARPA is intended to fund educational initiatives to address loss of school time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With a different topic each week, kids can discover STEAM topics and careers throughout the year. The programming is schedule for school break periods during February, April, and June, where there will hands-on after school activities, customized learning resource lists, take-home education kits and special half day classes for kids to tinker, build, learn, and explore.
Sessions are free, but registration is required. For more information, or to register, contact the Rye Free Reading Room at 914-231-3162 or e-mail [email protected]
