Boys Varsity Swimming Dunked by Ossining
Rye Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving was dunked by Ossining on Wednesday, sinking 77-96.
“Freshman Ethan Zhou won both of his events- the 200 free and 100 fly,” said Rye Boys Swimming & Diving Coach Kelly Johanson. “He also qualified for the State Championships in the 200 free.”
The team drops to 0-6.
Other meet highlights:
- The 200 Free relay (Hogan, Glitterstam, Capaldi, Zhou) tied for 1st and the 400 free relay won (Laverty, Ladyzhensky, T.Redd, Zhou).
- sophomore Bryan Laverty won the 500 free and placed 3rd in the 50 free
- sophomore Tripp Redd placed 2nd in both the 100 free and 100 breast
- freshman Michael Ladyzhnesky placed 2nd in both the 200 IM and 100 back
- 8th grader Finlay Sutherland won diving
The team completes 5:15pm Friday vs. Wappingers.
