A Day of Service @ Rye’s African American Cemetery
A group of 25 volunteers including students from Rye High School and Port Chester High School and employees of The Osborn retirement community came out for Town of Rye’s Day of Service on January 23 at the historic African American cemetery.
State Assemblyman Steven Otis and Town of Rye staff joined the volunteers to rake leaves, trim underbrush and help clean up the cemetery.
The cemetery, within the City of Rye, is run by and part of the Town of Rye.
