Boys Varsity Swimming Floats to the Top at Conference Championships
Rye Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving floated to the top at last Sunday’s conference championships at North Rockland High School.
“Ethan Zhou won the 200 free,” said Rye Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach Kelly Johanson. “Finlay Sutherland placed 3rd in diving.”
Other meet highlights included:
- Medley relay – 7th Michael Ladyzhensky, Tripp Redd, Ethan Zhou, Bryan Laverty
- Michael Ladyzhensky- 8th in the 500 and 9th in the 100 back
- Bryan Laverty- 9th in the 100 fly, 10th in the 200 free
- 200 free relay-9th Tripp Redd, Jon Capaldi, Filip Glitterstam, Wilson Redd
- 400 free relay – 5th Bryan Laverty, michael Ladyzhensky, Filip Glitterstam, Ethan Zhou
The team is 2-6. The team competes in sectionals on Tuesday, February 8 at Felix Festa in West Nyack.
